Loaves and Fishes responds to requests in times of crisis in a confidential, timely, respectful and non-judgmental manner, providing financial assistance regardless of religious affiliation. It is staffed by volunteers and funded by the parishioners of Our Lady of Fatima and Immaculate Conception.

In a typical year, about 150 families are assisted. Loaves and Fishes collaborates with civic agencies and other religious organizations, such as Kearsarge Regional Ecumenical Ministries, to enhance the services to persons in need.

Types of assistance offered include:

  • Utilities: home heating fuel/ electricity/ phone
  • Short term food and clothing needs
  • Other requests on a case-by-case basis
  • Information and/or referral to area agencies or organizations for assistance.
